My Fox 3.0's are every bit as silky on the road as the stock shocks, but they deliver in spades offroad. Like Jekyll & Hyde haha. These are full-blown race shocks and compared to stock they soak up badness in a big way. Ask any of the guys who went on the Lil Sahara Dune Run. Very impressive performance - from blowing past the stock trucks through the whoops to soaking up massive jumps, they handled it all without a hiccup (Joe's 3.0's = same story). Then a smooth five hour drive home and back to daily driver duties the next day. There it is on reserve - like a stealth weapon - ready and able whenever called upon to kill it offroad.
