Installed the super 44 last night, sounds great, its pretty loud when you romp on it but mellow at cruising speed. there's some cabin drone around 2000rpm, If you want something very aggressive this is it, if you want a little more mellow with less drone I would stick with the 50 series. I got some specs on the stock exhaust for anyone looking to do some work on theirs and a before and after video for comparison. Big thanks to my bro Taylor for his help, letting me use his shop and tools ! First time I saw the truck on a frame lift, man there's a lot of travel ! The stock system was at least 10 lbs heavier. This is before the muffler after the flange, OD is 2.75 This is before the flange, OD 3". this is where I connected. for some reason, maybe to increase back pressure, they drop from 3" to 2.75". I made my cuts before the flange and installed a new one, keeping it 3" straight to the muffler. I drove around all day and haven't noticed any drop in power or any problems from lack of back pressure. Actually feels like there's more power but I doubt I gained anything. Here is the new system. after the muffler the OD is 2.5", my pic of that didn't turn out, sorry. the stock system starts to bend right after it exits the muffler so I cut as close to the muffler as I could and extended the 2.5 pipes a bit to fit the Flowmaster properly There was two stock hangers on the muffler, one in front and one behind, I only reused the rear one. Heres the finished system. Heres a sound clip of the stock system. My little camera sucks for audio, just doesn't reproduce the deep tones of the exhaust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P2lEqS3BCg Heres the Super 44 system, and a little burnout. I wanted to do a better one but got yelled at by my girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3cbGTJ93no
