OK I just tackled this project. Here are my findings. First, here is a pic of the OEM sub box (I upgraded the speaker and had an amp already) vs the MTI 10" box. Not that much bigger but certainly more volume. Cut cut cut, I found it pretty easy to cut the insulation - I have a Cutco pair of scissors that, if you've seen their demonstration, will cut a penny in half. This was no match, scissors cut through it easily and made pretty clean cuts. This is what was cut out to fit the box. Here it is fitted in the truck. I removed the brackets from this unit and was able to secure it almost back to it's original location with 2 bolts. The black cable does hit the box but I'm not too worried. Said brackets removed I don't need the scissor jack as I have a Pro Eagle mounted in the bed, but I kept the tools that come with the jack, they fit as shown. A couple of notes and tips - first, the window motor, not sure why that is even a thing or mentioned, I didn't touch it or trim the insulation or anything, seems to be fine. Maybe I'm missing something? Also, if you need to raise the passenger seat, UNLATCH THE BACK FIRST, then raise the bench. The bench will still lock upright but it won't hit the speaker as much as with the back latched back. It's hard to tell but it may not hit it at all if you do that.
