Certain 2011 Model Year Edge, MKX, F-150 and Super Duty
Vehicles. Body Control Module Inspection (BCM)

AFFECTED VEHICLES

F-150 vehicles built at the Dearborn Truck Assembly Plant from Nov 3, 2010 through Nov 20, 2010.

F-Super Duty vehicles built at the Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant from Oct 28, 2010 through Nov 19, 2010.


REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL

In some of the affected vehicles, the Body Control Module (BCM) may have a contaminated power circuit board. The contamination may lead to a short circuit which can lead to many different failure modes including potential for a fire.

painful, mine was built on 11/22 and Iam waiting.............

Mine either got fixed before it left the factory, it was built 11/4, or I will need to take it in soon. I have a feeling that it is already fixed seeing I was aware of the issue before I took delivery of mine.
