[QUOTE="WNCHSTR96, post: 1759780, member: 8982"] The odds of two engine issues back to back like that are, I don’t really know? Maybe you have a curse on you? I do believe you said it will mostly be covered under warranty so there is a little light at the end of the tunnel. To the point of keeping the Gen 1 going. It really bums me that it seems parts for 10 year old vehicles are getting harder and harder to come by. Doesn’t matter what it is these days, it’s so dang hard to keep it going. My StepDad had a ‘73 F250 until 2006 and he still sees it on the road to this day. My brother has my old ‘92 and just had the transmission rebuilt because 320k miles will put some wear on it. I would like to keep mine going for as long as possible, but parts for it seem hard to come by. If I’m not mistaken even the Gen 2 has some hard to find parts to keep it going. When exactly did we transition to a use it till it breaks the buy a new one society? Maybe if I also had a Gen 2 and Gen 3 in the driveway I could take some of my daily driving off my OG, lol!
