All it took was a trip to the rodeo where she looked at one in the Ford booth....plus the death wobble on the jk was getting ridiculous. Less than a month later I had my Raptor.
To keep it easy you could do a "sts style" setup if there is space available for all the tubing and hoses. I haven't given it a look to see it that would even be possible.
I'd never ask him to pay for it, the old man has helped me through the thick and thin. He felt bad enough as is, we got it back together. I'll probably have a box from rpg under the Christmas tree though. All I can say I'm glad he's still around so we can work on cars and go fishing
Well I got it back together. The threads were only screwed at the bottom but looked great once the ball joint was seated. Found a thread file and started working on it and finally got the new nut moving up and down the threads. I'll run it on the streets till I can find a stock one or convince...
middle perch gone wrong
So yesterday I got off work for jury duty and didn't get picked so I figured I'd do something productive and do the perch mod. Went to parents house for use of tools and got cracking. I'm not new to suspension work, I've installed everything spring kits to air ride so I...
Finishing the sentence would have helped. I saw don't get your hopes up and was like crap, the year I can go there's no run. I was planning for April anyways
I this happen once when coming home from work. I park in the street after I work nights (one car wide driveway), went to make the u turn and bam shut off with oil light flashing. I considered it a fluke and its never happened again.
Oil level was good but I've had cars that if you made a...
I hope I can make this one, the last one I was out of town. Now I've got a baby on the way and don't know if the boss will let me go.
I really wanna check out Texana Ranch since my wife said I could build a class 11 or 9 when the kid is old enough to race.
I had the non extreme a/t on my jk. Compared to the bfg's there is no huge difference...ok in sand and horrible in mud but on the street they were smooth and quit.
9 wire ha. Looked like fishing line from the truck...very hard to see lol. I've been thinking about checking out down south offroad for a little mud and sand nothing high speed but still looks like fun. I just need to step up my recovery gear first
Mods are on the back burner for a while, less than a month after getting it we find out my wife is pregnant with our first. I've never had a vehicle that wasn't modified...this one might just take some time.
And to whore out my old rides...I was a big vw guy
'67 restored by my dad and I...
I guess its about time I introduce myself, my name is Matt and I drive a '11 Raptor. Traded my 07 JK for a loaded Raptor minus decals and stripper pole and I'm loving it
Went from this
To this
I read somewhere in the comments that he didn't have his windshield wipers on and was try to hit them and bam a tree. Usually if I can't see I hit the brakes
It's the stretch of road/beach from high island to port arthur. the highway was reclaimed by nature and now is a good stretch of untamed sand and one dirt road for the nature reserve. It's where the nude beaches are  it's not the good kind either
Looks like San Luis pass. You should try the lost hay 87, after the creepy naked old people its pretty fun and if you stay on the dirt road for the nature reserve its really fun
