As much as I hated losing that space, that's why I mounted it in the cabin. I didn't want to risk potential damage considering it was not a cheap investment lol.
Yes, I have/had mine hooked up to one of the upfitter switches (#2 if I remember correctly - I took it out all since I'm waiting on my buyback check). Anyway, to answer your questions:
A) can you hook up compressor to up fitter switches and how ie. make your own harness, etc
Yes you can, no...
Got feedback from the lawyer. The offer from Ford is legit according to law and the lawyers will not be able to get anything more for me.
I will be signing the paperwork tomorrow but had one last question to RAV in hopes of getting some sort of extension to keep my vehicle longer or some kind...
Agreed. Which is why I gave up trying to fight for what I think is right. So, just letting the lawyer handle it for now (actually, they are just reviewing the case for now). I assume if they seem what I've been offered is fair, they won't pick up the case.
Just got the converted "refund" letter. "Fair usage" doesn't seem very fair. Basically I'm fighting with them on when the "first reported issue" was. I, of course was denied and the final offer stands. In addition, I asked about registration fees (only because NV Lemon Law Refund states that...
I hope I'm less than $1k in usage fee. Originally they quoted me 2-3k!!! Still waiting on the conversion of the replacement offer to a refund to see the final details.
Yea, mine was reported at about 5000 miles. But they had me driving all over the place telling me it was "normal operation" until I finally had a chance for them to experience the issue. When they finally got it reported to RAV it was at 7500. They were trying to tell me that I was going to...
To all those following along. Received a call from RAV today stating that they cannot allow the replacement to be the 2019 as they are not even being produced yet. They need an invoice to complete my case (and seeing that one will not be delivered before the 30 days the case needs to be closed...
Yeah, no lawyer needed just yet. Was just trying make sure the offer letter was standard to what others have seen. Specifically in terms of what will be charged for "fair use/wear" on the vehicle as well as the fees denoted within. I keep hearing on the "first reported incident", however the...
Yes, they have done replacements there before. My salesman and service person also recommended it. My salesperson has been waiting on the letter to come in from RAV so they can get my order going without a downpayment...which is where we are at now. I just didn't want to be in a binding...
I appreciate the info! Yeah, mine is a 3 page letter. Only replacement (no refund) because that's what I asked for. I've been working with my salesman, and he's really the only one that has been walking me thru what I needed to do. Seems like at this point the only choice I have is to sign...
@JD06 So I've received my "offer letter" from the 3rd party company which I am to send to Ford. However, the details are so vague in terms of what I am responsible for in terms of cost difference. However it does not outline what/where depreciation starts (ie. mileage of first reported issue)...
Glad to hear it. I appreciate you sharing your experience...it puts my mind and worries at ease till I get the full terms back from Ford. I too would like the job done right...so, I'll opt to do it myself. They can just reimburse me for the tinting since its non-removable haha.
I would, but man I really don't trust dealer work haha. Especially for non maintenance items. I'd rather do it myself, the correct way. My tint on the other hand...they can reimburse me for my next tint job (I also prefer not to have it done at the dealership). :)
So they got you with the ending mileage and not the first reported mileage of when the issue occurred? If this is true that they allowed you to keep your 17 till the 18 was delivered...that may solve my issue of being without a vehicle during the transition of a replacement (whether it be an 18...
That's where I'm at now. Nothing else interests me at the moment. It sucks that this was my first "attempt" at Ford as a manufacturer. Depending on the depreciation "hit" they offer me along with whatever deal...it will be the make or break with Ford.
There was an SSM. But honestly, I think they were pulling at straws on that attempt because they have/had no idea what was going on. At first the Ford Engineers stated that the SSM was required as there was low oil pressure but NO consumption. Then after that failed, they decided that there...
Yea, I appreciate that. With little guidance or knowledge of what is "fair"...it's going to be a tough call. I'm stuck in a weird situation if I want a '19 as the first deliveries will not be till a few months...and I don't have a second vehicle to wait around in. But I will for sure look out...
