Nice ride! I've seen this car for sale somewhere else too, I think Corvette Forum?
Anyway, good luck with the sale! I'm working on selling one of my toys now with plans to build a C5 in the near future.
Were you able to figure out what the issue was? I'm pretty new to these trucks, but keep reading that the heating element is known to be be a common issue.
That's the first square tipped Raptor exhaust that I've seen on here. Not my cup of tea, but the good news is that it only matters what you think. Do you happen to have a sound clip?
I know this is a long shot, but I am looking for OEM fender flares for a gen 1, specifically the right rear. Unfortunately, a valet scraped mine up in a tight parking lot last week. Figured I'd try this route before paying more for a new one. Thanks.
Thanks. I'll check them out when I get around to doing mid-perch. I'm trying to resist the urge to boost the truck.
Markert Motorworks in Lawrenceville did the majority of that car including the turbos and tuning. Good guys over there if you need anything done.
Thanks man! It's definitely a fun ride. Most didn't expect to get their ass kicked by a 1 series bimmer :ROFLJest:
The thing that I noticed was that it was just so easy to get used to the power and then it feels normal and eventually slow again. My 93 octane tune put down 504rwhp and after...
Welcome from another new black screw owner in Georgia!
Where are you at in GA? I just picked up a 2013 from Florida and drove it back two weeks ago. I'm in Atlanta and work in Kennesaw.
Who did the mid perch for you and what did they charge? I'm looking to get mine done soon.
UPDATE: My local dealer found the solution. The good news is that it was something very very simple, the bad news is that I probably look like an idiot. There was a piece of foam that was wedged between the intake box and the fender that was restricting air intake and was choking the truck at...
Anything is possible. I've cleared the MyKey settings so the only way would be if there's a tune installed that I and the dealer didn't know about. I don't have a handheld tuner to verify though. Truck is at the dealer now and their powertrain specialist is going to start on it Monday. Fingers...
Right, if it is tuned it would be on the ECU. I meant that if the truck went through as thorough an inspection as they like to advertise and then is sold as a stock vehicle with a warranty, the dealer should have confirmed that there is no tune. Do you know of any tunes for the Raptor that...
No worries. I guess it's always possible it's a certain tune, but it shouldn't be on there if the truck was CPO'd and sold as stock.
It certainly acts like it's computer triggered since there are no codes and it runs great except under full throttle. Gonna start researching tunes to see if I...
No CEL or code. That's what led me to think it may be some kind of governor setting, but from what I can tell there's not a RPM setting.
Amazing that this made it through the CPO certification. Once I learn more on Saturday I'll be having a nice chat with the manager.
Lol unfortunately that's true. I grew up in the DC suburbs and they're both terrible drivers, just different reasons:flipthebird:
I live in the city so it's going to be interesting daily driving a Raptor on Atlanta highways. At least if some idiot hits me I should be well protected.
Same problems still exist after pulling the negative battery terminal.
I was able to take a quick video to help better explain what I'm talking about. You can see that when I punch it the truck downshifts to 3rd and takes off, but then falls on its face around 4,500 RPM and doesn't continue to...
Thanks!
Thanks. I love the truck so far. It's definitely a big adjustment from the BMW for sure. It's much more comfortable to take on a road trip and it's nice sitting above everybody. People move out of your way on the highway for sure which is also a nice change. It's just so much...
No power after 4500 RPM and not upshifting under hard acceleration
Hey All,
Thanks for reading. I just purchased a used 2013 Raptor over the weekend and am confused by the transmission behavior. Unfortunately since the vehicle is new to me I don't know all of the history. However it is...
Hey everybody! My name is Garrett and I just bought my first Raptor! I've been drooling over them for years and browsing this site forever since I almost pulled the trigger a few years ago. This is the first truck I've ever owned but also the first vehicle I've ever owned with an automatic...
