My 2017 802a does light up. It illuminates as soon as I open the door to get in. My headlight switch is in the “auto” setting and I do not have the tech package. Also it is a Canadian spec truck if that helps.

Same thing happened to me right after filling up with premium. Was my first fill up and I was also doing around 20mph coming to a stop and then pop pop pop. Hasn't happened since but was very weird.

The Canadian base Raptor is actually the 801a in the US. We also get front torsion axle and rear tailgate applique as standard. When I ordered mine I thought is was much higher priced until I looked into it a little more.

Ruby red is unaware of what you are referring to. The gen 1 sill plates were grey plastic that said "ford" on them. The stainless sill plates he mentions fit over the painted area.
