After long career putting fuel on airplanes and such... Looks like it'll work great on a pan fire on your stove... or maybe that butt you just chucked on the ground and started the grass fire. But I can assure you - you'll be part of the fire trying to use this on fuel/oil in the context of...
Had a Gen 1 SCAB. Towed a 5800 lb. dry RV with 600lb tongue weight. Stock with weight distribution hitch and sway bar. Absolutely zero issues, and it very nicely passed pretty much everything... even going uphill.
That being said... and your question is a good start... educate yourself on...
The center console dims with the dash-dimmer buttons (next to headlight switch) as well, but it doesn't survive a restart. Next night you gotta bump the dimmer down button again and then it will follow wherever you dim the rest of the dash to.
Lemon Laws vary by state. My 2018 had an interesting failure that ultimately came down to faulty part from factory and inadequate instructions for the replacement assembly causing truck to be returned every two weeks for the first six-months of ownership. (yes, dealer kept making the same...
You have three modes for both regular and off-road: Normal (all nannies), traction control reduced (one push of traction control button), and nannies mostly but not entirely off (press/hold traction control @10.000 till light flashes on dash).
The setting does not survive a switch from on-road...
I'm running the JB4 now. Not same same as full tune. It does definitely add performance boost, but doesn't vover all the bases a good tune would. You get a very tune-able boost module that doesn't leave an easily seen "signature" in the ECM since you're not flashing the it. (There are a...
So... where did you get lost... at the tuners are used to advance timing? or at forced induction is used to increase compression? OH! I know - you skipped over the part where they are "necessary" components to increase performance - but if you don't attenuate them with higher octane fuel...
This ^^^ Used to live up on Tug Hill (Lorraine/Worth). And you can probably get there all on seasonal roads from roughly Rome on up. And nice thing is, all the bars/grills that are generally only accessible by snowmobiles in winter are still open for OHV traffic in summer. ;-)
This thread makes me laugh (and then cry) every time it's come up since 2010.
Just put ******* gas in it and drive.
Rich people don't get rich by spending money - so if you bought a $70K truck but OCD compels you to save $500 a year... run 87 octane.
Fast people don't get fast by keeping...
Not going to say your perception isn't real to you... but I'll add to the stack of people who say they've had absolutely no issue with the factory hitch on my 2018 and I pretty regularly haul a 6,000lb RV with 600lb tongue weight (same RV I used to haul with my Gen-1 if that makes the "Genny...
With weight distribution hitch I pull a 28ft RV (600 lb tongue weight) with my 2018 SCAB with no issues. Does the truck lose it's rake? Yes, that's why there's rake to begin with - so it's level under load. I will say though that the Gen 2 does seem to squat more than the Gen 1 I used to...
I had that problem for the first 6-months combined with evap system OBD code when the tank would drop down past 1/2 tank. After many trips to dealer (and 1 trip to lawyer ;-) ), turns out hose leading from top of gas tank to evap purge valve was put together wrong closing off the passage. This...
Live and learn... I don't usually make donations "publicly", thought name/note in donation would be visible to coordinator. No worries - don't need a dipstick for a sealed transmission :-D
Money to a good cause though - keep it going Chris!
