Heat smells like coolant, no leaks hitting the garage floor. Nothing loose as far as I can see. What are the odds of Ford covering it if its the heater core? 2013 with 37k miles on it.....surely the heater core shouldn't be ******** out this early?
Hey. OP here.
My shocks were toast and I bought the truck with only 17k miles on it. The truck was in mint condition but the previous owner must of hucked it or something lol. I waited a while to rebuild mine because I couldnt fathom how they would be dead at 17k.
Anyway, drove down to...
Oh jeez I hope not....24,000 miles on it...bought it with 17,000 earlier this year and it was the same then, previous 1st owner never took it off road, and all I have done was some dirt roads.
OK I am not sure if there is something wrong with my truck, but I was traveling down this smooth dirt road and there were a few holes only on the left side maybe 1/2' to 1' deep, not straight drop offs, they were in and out gradually of dirt.
Anyway, going down about 50 mph and hitting these...
Yup confirmed.
Ford Dealer found out when it wouldn't balance on the road force machine.
Contacted BFG and they said I have to go get it checked out at a tire shop and if its true I'll either get 1 or 2 free tires (depending on wear of the other).
Will update.
Its at the dealer now. It was in the steering wheel and both front seats.
Funny thing is, when I had the tires rotated it seemed to move the vibration to the front of the vehicle. So it could very well be the tires even though they are only a few months old with 3k miles on them.
Thanks I'll mention to the service writer for them to look into the driveline / ubolts as well.
I'm dropping it off Thursday, going to have them do an alignment as well just to see, etc.
Revving while in neutral / park does not make it increase. It almost feels like a super small misfire at idle, and with any more gas its smooth.
The vibration is speed sensitive. From 55-65 mph it is the worst. With a trailer on (2500-4500lbs) the vibration is much worse at the same speeds as...
Yes stock wheels. The whole truck is stock beside a stubby antenna and the deaver springs in the rear. Vibration was present before the springs as well.
Hi guys.
I got my Raptor back in March, it is a 2013 Screw, only mod is deaver rear springs.
My issue is that just driving on any type of road I have a constant vibration running through the entire truck. Some passengers say they don't notice it but I can see them shaking a bit even on...
