No one's arguing a thicker oil viscosity will increase oil pressure. Its just not the right way to fix your oil pressure problem.

Is it tomorrow yet?

galpin ford is the one that changed the oil over to 10w30 and they actually run 5w20 for the first 3 changes and then run 10w30 every change after that.

Ford and SVT build a D E S E R T race truck and suggest putting oil in it that will fail at high temps? Beating the **** out of the truck through the desert isn't abuse enough? I missed the part of the manual that says "If your oil pressure light comes on whilst blowing through the 110* desert at 75MPH, pull over and switch to 10w30."

it doesnt have a "oil pressure problem" its been to the dealer for its oil changes in the past and they are the ones that put 10w30 in it to begin with.the oil light came on in my 5.4 it came on in my 6.2 and it also came on in my buddies raptors as well.the pressure is fine.nothing wrong with it.

I'm no mechanic but isn't the oil light triggered by low oil pressure?
