Thoughts on Ruby Red

Placed my 2014 order last week for the following:

SCrew
Tuxedo Black
Special Edition
801A
moon roof
front/rear camera
tailgate step
spray-in liner
bed extender

However, I am still on the fence about color choice. Found a 2013 F150 on dealers lot to get an idea of the Ruby Red color, but it was a bit rainy. Of course the color looks great in Ford's Raptor Special Edition press release. Wondering what the community thinks of the Ruby Red in general?

It's a nice color in person, wouldn't be my top choice for the Raptor though.

Nice color and unique for 2014 , I suggest you check out the color in person .

If I ordered a 2014, it would be a Ruby Red SE. However, I'm not interested in waiting that long

I like the Ruby Red but not sure I want the full SE package. Since it's not available separately I will be going with Blue Flame. Otherwise my order will be the same as yours.

How did you place a 2014 order already? My dealer is saying they can't place 2014 orders yet.

I like "ruby red" as a color, just don't know if I like it for the Raptor. Nothing beats "terrain" in my honest opinion, really hoped it would have been a 1 year color only .

Yeah Blue Flame is probably my favorite but I really dig the SE interior accents and body graphics. So tuxedo black and ruby red are now top contenders for me.

So I placed the order with the dealer and they entered into the system but I guess I don't have a firm answer if it was actually submitted to Ford. I haven't seen a DORA yet.

Ruby red is not a masculine color, and thus not appropriate for the Raptor IMO. Now if you were talking about a Lexus convertible or a Chrysler minivan, I'd say sure why not.

Also I am guessing Ruby Red has an up charge of $400 as it does on 2013 F150s. Does anyone know if that holds true for the Raptors.
