On my 12 I have noticed that the step no longer comes out, it appears jammed in there, any ideas on how to solve other than a crowbar?

Mines gotten stuck a few times and I can usually lift up and out with a few good tugs until it breaks free. Good luck.

Kinda silly, but I didn't realize it when I first got mine. You do have to kinda tilt the step part to unlatch it, then it slides out. Doubt that's your problem, but I did make a fool of myself tugging on it once.
