Questions regarding 2012s on a lot and headlights

I just stopped by a Ford dealer and they had two 2012 Raptors - a black one that was sold (congratulations to the future owner if he's here) and a white one. I looked at the headlamps and saw headlights that looked like nothing I had seen before. They weren't projectors, but I'm not sure what they were exactly. They had a black "box" sticking away from the reflective area.

Are these new, or are these the same non-HID fitments being used?

Yes, Raptor experts that is a 2012 F150 Harley headlight. It is the same as the Raptors..

They keep the lights from blinding oncoming traffic by having a much more accurate direction.

That gives them that darker look compared to stock f150s.
