I have not driven an auto in some time so maybe I am just not use to it, but I notice particularly at low speed in 1st and 2nd a clunkiness and light throttle. Like when slowly moving in stop and go traffic. Sometimes the clunk happens even when not shifting gears but just lightly going on and off throttle like you would easing in stop and go traffic.

Is this normal for this truck? It does not feel horrible but certainly not smooth.

Since you're concerned, hagak, it wouldn't hurt to have your dealer take it for a spin. If possible, join your tech on the test drive so you can show them what you're experiencing. What's the current mileage on your Raptor?

I have the same problem and i think it may be the baklash of the rear diff. Dealership says it sounds normal.

Everything is normal for the dealership...could be on fire and they would let you know it is standard on Fords

Did you ever find a solution for this issue?

I have a similar issue... no incline, I put my truck into 4high at a stop light and floor it when it turns green, after about 2 or 3 seconds I hear a loud thump from the rear end of my vehicle. It scared the crap out of me so I really hope someone can help me.

Any long term issues?

This has been an issue on my '12 SCrew almost since new. The slip yoke greasing does work for a bit but as the grease works its way through the splines and eventually into the transfer case, the clunk comes back. Periodic re-greasing of the splines is a must....just one of those things that you have to live with.
