Off-roading with airbags

I have the Fox 3.0 QAB rear bypass shocks and Firestone Sport-Rite airbags. When I'm off-roading it feels a lot more bumpy and stiff than usual. Is this problem the airbags? Or are my shocks not tuned right?

@Timbo is most likely because of the air bags. Air Bags will limit your down travel and give that harsh/chattery feeling when you bottom out.

That is why we designed this system here:

This kit will work freely and not hinder your suspension performance through out the range of suspension travel.

Maybe if I didn't already have a camper shell with truck vault installed in the bed, which is part of the reason for wanting the air bags to help level the truck. This seems to be the solution to maximizing the cargo payload, but I can't run without a spare.
