Modify lift block for RPG Bump Stop w/ stock leaf springs?

Anyone here running an RPG bump stop kit w/ stock leafs, thus retaining the stock lift blocks? I was reviewing the install instructions and I see that you need to modify the block by tapping and drilling a hole as shown below:

Seems straightforward, but just curious as to the experience of those who are in this situation (stock leafs).

Yes, I would love to upgrade to progressive leaf springs and eliminate the block, but not an option right now.

I have SVC bumpstop, when I first installed it I was running stock springs. I had to dril out the factory block and it was an easy task. Pretty straight forward, good luck.
