Home Made Rear Shock Guards

If you have wheeled as hard as I have, then your rear shock guards probably look like this.



I took some 2"-3" hoseclamps, and some strips of toolbox mat, and fabbed some up.



I am not sure how long they will last, but the material was cheap, and it will keep rocks from nicking the shafts.

sdhq has a steel cover... I think you have to call...

I think its for the Fox 3".

I did this a year ago, they have held up perfectly. They "wave" at highway speeds and sometimes people think something is loose and flag me down.

I've gotten a few points and waves on the highway. I have since upgraded to a heavier material, the first ones were too soft...

Always good to protect the shaft but don't forget about the nuts :mrgreen:

I'm here all week

I'm needing to do something to keep the front tires from kicking mud and crap into my rear wheels and brakes. Already replaced rotors and pads last winter, don't want to do it again. I am thinking of mid-ship full width flaps like short course off road trucks, but they look rather stupid on a raptor.
