I bought my first bump shock from RPG several years ago. Winters here are tough 3 months of driving on snow pack. Fenders never melt out until end of March. We salt the roads. Some areas use sand only, but we have a local salt production facility. I have not taken my bump shocks out in the winter. Last year they had some sticking problems that RPG repaired. This year they were too far gone for repair. Corey put some shock boots on for me. I plastic-dipped them. I do that on all exposed bolt on mods to ward off some oxidation. I know amsoil makes a nice product, but not very realistic in application when the vehicle sits outside all winter with packed in snow/ice. Probably not a good mod for heavily used bumps they might run too hot.
