Here is a solution for the big dogs running Fox 3.0's....

View attachment 9040

External Cooling System (ECS)
The External Cooling System (ECS) is an option on all new and existing 3.0, 3.5, and 4.4 FOX bypass shocks. The ECS cooling system, code named "Cactus Cooler", during development, effectively drops fluid temperatures up to 150 degrees. Without pumps or fans, it uses the normal motion of the shock piston as it cycles up and down to pump the fluid through a billet aluminum and stainless steel heat sink.

$500 a piece
Includes the cooler itself, hoses, and the modifications to shock to except the hoses that attach the cooler to the shock.

100% not necessary for a raptor. If your shock temp stays below 250-300 which it will with 3.0s on a raptor you don't need these.

Great Add-on for a trophy truck though. Although very few trophy trucks run these.

You will never need these on a Raptor, unless you plan on trying to get on top on the San Felipe Woops and run them for 35 miles. I have seen 3.5 fox shocks on our Class 1 boil the fox sticker off the shocks in San Felipe
We looked into these and the real expense is in the Hose, I don't know what its made of but you can spend a lot of money depending on where you place the cooler

Unless you mounted those remotely I don't think you could get the airflow over them to see any benefit on a Raptor.

Yeah these should only be on trophy trucks that weigh between 5000-8000 lbs, have between 400-700 horsepower, have something like a 3.0-4.0 coilover setup, and finally go on courses like the texana ranch, they are worthless otherwise. They are even more worthless when you run one of those big bumpers that block airflow across your shock body.
