You sending the truck to Geoff or doing the install yourself?

What's the advantage to the Giant Daily Driver Link over the 3.5" bypass with leafs or the cantilever kit? And what are some of the drawbacks? Is there a large advantage to getting rid of the leaf springs and have a coil over and bypass in the back? Isn't the up-travel still going to be limited by the frame in the back?

Getting rid of the leaf springs is a huge step forward. A linked truck just puts the power down much smoother, is more adjustable, and the damping isn't fighting the leafs, so can be optimized.
No comparison in performance vs. leafs, regardless of the dampers used with them.
There's still a slight gain in up travel.
Advantages over a bed cage or canti is performance. Downside is it's a semi permanent modification.
Advantages over a traditional four link is easier install, no need for cab cage. Disadvantage is less performance, due to not as much up travel.

is that a 3 link?

No, the air bump cans on the main links to axle interface, control pinion angle and allow for articulation. It could be easily made into a three link though if it doesn't work out for me the way it is.

why not just build your own 3 link then using dirt tech trailing arms, being your not sure the giant kit may not work for you?

A guy could, but you're biting off a bunch more fab work by the time you build the pan hard assembly, link mounts, axle mounts, etc.
It'd be almost as much work as doing an actual four link.

I'm sure the giant ddl setup is going to work fine, I just like having a backup plan.
