Hyundai Rumored to be Considering Full-Size Pickup Truck

Is Hyundai considering offering a full-size pickup in the U.S.? Sources say the company recently held research clinics with truck buyers in California and Texas using a modified Ram 1500 to gauge interest.

That's odd for them to use a Dodge....Hyundai has been spot-on with their S Class/5 series Genisis sedan and the G35 Genisis coupe. Why not pick the #1 selling truck and copy it??

Sorry man but the number 1 selling truck of 2010 are the Ford truck series especially in the Raptor.

Anyhow, Yawn.

Toyota wanted to get into full-size pickups and their timing couldn't have been worse. And while they make a nice product it's not up to those from Ford, GM and Dodge. It's hard to imagine Hyundai doing any better. One thing they will excel at is value. I expect their pickup truck to be the lowest priced of the full-size trucks and they'll copy most of the features offered by Ford, GM, Dodge, Toyota and Nissan. And they will get sales so this should scare Nissan and Toyota most of all.

I would not underestimate hyundai... the Genesis coupe and sedan are very nice. The Sonata has gone from crap to stellar and that Tau motor has potential.
