Like everyone has said, the raptor is on another level than the trd-pro. But the burnt orange color is pretty nice IMO

That review of the two trucks seemed more like a tire review, depicting which tire could traverse all the pointed little rocks on the road.

Not really much of a 4x4 road to test either truck. The reviewer kept boxing himself in by remarks such as "if this Toyota had better styling and a bigger engine, can you imagine what it could be?" (lol...yeah buddy, a Raptor).

A couple of times he mentioned the increased towing capacity and the increased payload of the Toyota but failed to inform his audience that there was a reason for this, which is because the much better suspension system of the Raptor involves giving-up some payload and towing ability in order to deliver better performance in this department. If the Raptor has some amazing shocks that give the truck 11--12" of suspension travel, common sense says you're gonna give-up some towing capacity when you drop some weight n the hitch.

Nothing at all wrong with the Toyota but the two are just different trucks in many ways and to be fair, I don't think the Toyota is really trying all that hard to compete directly with the Raptor.

TRD Pro has its place in the market though. Maybe you want a little more practicality, but you still want a factory offroader with improved capabilities. If you don't want to go full Raptor, it's a good option.

What's the practicality difference? I'm confused about what my Raptor won't be able to do on road that a trd can?

Well, if you don't like Ford, this seems like an option. Maybe 85% of an option. May be enough for some people.

my conclusion after watching that video is either they didn't want to break the tundra or did not want to make it look silly next to the raptor. Also..... did the tundra have highway tread tires on it lol.

He also spent the entire time thanking Toyota for letting them borrow the truck. Business is business, I reckon.

Better road manners for the guy that has to drive back and forth to work every day? I traded a 2011 Tahoe for mine. There is no comparison. Going down the highway at 60 mph feels like you are doing 35 mph. When I am caught in traffic, my only concern is that someone will rear end me and mess up my bumper.
