With that many gears and the tech in the torque sensors, it would almost be like driving a really good cvt.

I agree here. If the block heats and swells at a different rate than the heads something has to give.

Yeah really. Anyone remember the 3.8 Essex V6 head gasket issues with the iron block/aluminum heads?
