Hey guys,

Did a search and couldn't find this info in one place. I want to see what led bars/cubes/etc everyone is running in the approx 20" center lower grill opening. I currently have a second-hand M&R I only paid $100 for that only puts out about 7500 lumens. I have a set of Rigid D2's and a set of Duallys in the fog light openings that each put out much more light than the M&R. Additionally, the M&R gets a lot of moisture in it, so I'm looking for something new.

I know this area is pretty much limited to 20" bars, but some of the things I want to know are:

-Single row vs Double row
-Curved vs. Straight (I don't even know if a 20" curved bar will fit)
-What brands fit best (currently looking at Rigid, Black Oak, Baja Designs)
-And this may be a stupid question that I already know the answer to, but are all 20" bars the same length? Like If I bought a 20" Black Oak or Rigid, would it fit in the M&R cradle?

I currently have the M&R mounted using washers as spacers so I did not have to cut into the bumperettes and would like to stay that way (Also mounted the Rigids with a Baja Designs bracket to avoid drilling into the metal). The bar sits flush with the bumperettes, which I don't mind.

Please include pics as well!

Rigid and Baja Designs OnX6 have been our most common options for our customers due to fitment.

With the Rigid brackets, you won’t be able to fit the RDS curved bars because of the twin mounting posts on each end.

If you go with Rigid, we can do the E-Series Pro or E-Series Pro Midnight Edition as well as the Radiance+ line.

If we go with Baja Designs, you can go with the OnX6, OnX6 Hi Power, OnX6 Racer Edition, or S8.

This is the Rigid E-Series, but shows the same fitment for the E-Series or Radiance. You will have to do some slight trimming to edges of the bumperettes for the bolts. Bracket installation also requires drilling, but it’s not visible from the front of the truck once installed.

And this is the Baja Designs OnX6 installed. All of the OnX6 lights will have the same fitment. The picture is a bit far away, but it gives you an idea of fitment.

This is the old Baja Designs Stealth Series Light Bar. But it has the same size profile as the S8 to give you an idea of fitment:

Please let me know if you have any more questions or if we can put a quote together for you.

Thanks!

Thanks Nick! I really like those BD lights, but damn they are expensive. Do they mount without any cutting to the bumperettes? It appears so.

If I remember correctly, with the Baja Designs kits you don’t necessarily have to trim the bumperettes, but it may make installation easier if you do.

I've got a cheapo rigid radiance in mine with the rigid brackets. I had to drill some holes in the bumperettes but the install was easy. If I was to do it again, I'd go with the baja light. My rigid gets a good amount of condensation in it since the truck sits outside in Oregon. One day I'll swap it for an Onx6

Glad this came up. I have been looking into adding some lights to my rig. I was looking at the Rigid Radiance pods with the amber background. My question is are they bright enough and do u need 2 switches one for the back light and another for the fog lights themselves. I’m looking at the pods and the 20in bar.

I wired my backlight into the parking lights, you could wire it into a switch if you have a spare.
