VisionX Xmitter Xtreme Lower Grill LED Kit

So I got the kit from Alternative Offroad (Thanks James) and did my install yesterday. I followed Birdman's AUX upfitter How-to (Thanks Birdman) and then installed my new Vision X!

My only question is about the bracket the light sits on. I was disappointed that the lower bumper tab holes can be seen and it's not like the bracket I've seen in pics on this forum. The pics on the forum show a silver powdercoated bracket that is screwed flush and uses the lower bumper tab holes from where the OEM grill goes in.

Look below the light bar and you can see the tab holes I'm talking about. I'll post a couple pics from the forum of what I'm talking about. I want the silver bracket. It also sets the light up higher and more square in the hole.

Yeah, I guess they've changed the bracket. The white truck with the US flag is my truck and the silver powder coated lower mounting bracket came with the kit when I ordered it from Alternative and it does look better than the new style.

Damn, I'm jealous... that's the light I want!!! I'd really appreciate any type of night time light output or comparison photos you could provide.

I don't know what's up with the different brackets, but I agree with you that the other style looks better and is what I would want. Did you contact James at Alternative Offroad or Vision-X directly? I sent Vision-X two emails in the past 3-4 weeks and never received a response to either of them; them not responding to me is kind of a turn off and makes me wonder what customer service would be like in the event I needed to make a warranty claim.

Please keep us posted with the details of the bracket if you hear anything.

Guys, the silver bracket that you are referring to was offered from a different vendor. The kit we sell now comes directly from VisionX. However, if you would like the silver bracket we still can get them for you. Please feel free to give me a call to order one up!

As far as VisionX not responding, that's very strange of them. Have you tried calling them? I know it's a REALLY busy time of year right now and all communications are delayed. But in the case of a warranty claim you could also deal directly with us and we could get it squared away. But to be 100% honest we have only had one single warranty claim out of the hundreds of VisionX products sold over the past few years. Thats a pretty impressive track record!

Yes Light cannons w/Clear Euro Covers from Alternative. The covers spread the light out nicely.
