So, is the Raptor Third brake light only those three little LED lights? What changes/upgrades have you all done to the light? Pics please, if you have them.

I went with a Recon rear brake light. Looks good IMO. Easy to wire up and not nearly as pricey as a new Ford unit. Also, it looks sealed completely around the perimeter, so no water seepage. Only downside is if a bulb goes out, you replace the whole unit, it's not serviceable. I'll update later with pics.

I bought that one. Haven't installed it yet. Not sure, since there's so many other options. How does the cargo light portion work? Since there's no internal switch in the cab

The bed cargo light is bright. Mine stays on after I park until I lock the doors. It a bright white LED.

So, what's the deal with our third brake lights? On my truck there's a plug in the back of the housing. I assume that's for the three running light/brake light LEDs. Plus the two cargo lights on the side. All of the aftermarket lights I see claim to be plug and play. But none of them seem to include a plug for the stock wiring.
I bought a Recon light, not knowing about the way my truck is set up. The included instructions tell me to cut and splice. I'm fine with doing that, but I'd prefer to not do so. Other than going full custom, has anyone installed any aftermarket third brake light without having to cut and splice wires to make it work?

The DNA Motoring one is plug and play. Once you unplug the factory third brake light from the harness you need to follow the harness back into the truck, there will be another connector, that's the one it plugs in to.

Ours uses the same connector to power the three little red LEDs and the center cargo light. A plug and play option but a bit more custom than I think you might be looking for.
