Ya, I would use one for something that is used all the time but really the small amount of usage this will I cant see a problem...

Do I have it right this time?

And heres some info about the lights from TMXs website:
LED Power: 16W
. Raw Lumen:1440lm
. Operating Voltage: 10-30V DC
. Waterproof rate: IP 67
. 4w high intensity CREE LED
. Current draw:1.34 @12V,0.67A@24V

yep. looks right to me. 87a and 30 are common. meaning that when the relay is NOT energized current passes through normally. when the aux switch is flipped, it energizes the relay and then 87 and 30 become common, until the switch is turned off.

is this relay something i can pick up at autozone or something or would i have to go to an electronics store or order it online?

Awesome!! I don't know shit about electrical (I usually burn stuff up when I mess with it) but I do know stick figures, and that's one serious smile you're sporting now!! :gr_grin: You must be lovin the ride now!!
