Finally got a pair of pod lights in each opening within my bumper, but sadly they are not brighter than my stock HID headlamps, as I expected they would be. I'm thinking this is partially due to not being aligned right. In case it matters, I have a pair of flood (outward) and a pair of spots (inward.)

What is the proper way to align these for the best lighting?

Go in a large parking lot and aim them where u want. are u using them as true fog lights or off road lights? If fog lights shoot them under your headlights

Don't be the guy with obnoxious fog lights that are blinding

Proper fog light and driving light alignment:

PIAA | Lamp Aiming Guide

The bottom diagram, "Driving Lights" is missing the distance, which is also 25'. But this is exactly how you should adjust your headlights. If your lights are hitting the SUV's rear window in front of you, they are too high.

My 50w HID headlights are exactly 4" below the level line at 25'.
