has anyone placed a light bar behind the lower grill ( by lower I mean the one in the bumper )??? I like the look of the mesh grill. If so what size? When I measured it's around 15.5 inches between those thick metal tabs - can I grind those off? 22 inches without those tabs.
thanks

Pics...I would guess you do NOT need a front plate...I would not suggest grinding off the tabs

I'm not sure what metal tabs you're referring to. I believe java used the stock mounting hardware and screwed it to whatever is behind the grill. Same spot you put the other brackets at but this allows it to sit behind the grill.

Based on the testing that I have done (as well as some others), light output is cut in half (or more) by putting it behind a grille.
