Has anyone dropped in 50w 5-6k hid ballasts on their oem 2013+ headlights? Now that I have a light bar I want the headlight to be brighter and match the crisp white color. I may even consider changing the headlights since they are actually grey and because I might end up blacking all the grey out on my truck.

I put in 5000k hids a while ago. It was brighter but still sucked. The housings are garbage for light output. Get some retros and u will be happy. Night and day difference.....see what I do there

Hey bud, we can definitely help you out. If you are looking for the 2013 lights, blacked out we can do a full projector upgrade for better performance. That will also allow us to switch to D2S bulbs, any Kelvin you want and power them with 50w ballast.

You can check out a comparison between the oem projector and the upgraded EvoX projector on our website here - Raptor Retrofit

I didn't know how crappy the 2013+ headlights were! I got in a raptor last night that my local dealership had to put on a car hauler (go check my thread I made about it, talk about a strange night). Anyway and I turned them on expecting a wide flat evenly distributed projector but they were very narrow beams. I was kinda disappointed! But yes, hit up raptor reteofit! Dawson is the man!

Funny how you few are talking down the oem hids so much... I've heard nothing but good things about them! I'm going from the halogens to the 2013 oem hids and from everyone I've talked to said its a night and day difference!

Obviously they are better than the halogens and there are not any issues but that are not as bright as aftermarket HIDS. For myself the brighter the better

Only option for brighter and good cutoff is retrofit like stated above... But if you go that route you lose the all in one package of ballast mounted to headlight and clean look IMO you'll have to mount ballasts seperated like normal hid kits...

They are a TON of alot better from stock but maybe its just me but they had a really narrow beam angle. The projectors in my moms land rover go straight out to the sides pretty much. They do look really good, much better than what came in my 11! Those I had were borderline dangerous. These anzos are really really good projectors. I'm impressed!

The spilled light you see above the projectors is from these "eagle eyes"
