OK guys, let's here your opinions on the location of my 10" Flex center hood mount.
YEAH OR NEAH?
I figured this location would flow with my dual flex on the hood mounts. I needed a bit more amber light and thought this might be a good location.
There is barely any glare off the hood in this location not like the glare you get with a light bar on the roof of the truck.
I'm also very impressed with the light output that this tiny 10" put out.

Let's here your thoughts but no being a ****.
Thanks

I think it looks good. If you didn't have the doubles on the outside hood mounts I think it wouldn't have looked right. You're right though for a 10" that thing sure throws a ton of light.

I just had my windshield replaced so I had to remove the duals. So I did mount the center light only and yes it looked strange for sure.
All 3 together do look better then just the center, more complete.

I like it!!!

Just a few questions:

Any wind noise?
How exactly is it mounted?

Very nice idea. Curious about how you mounted it too.

I haven't driven it yet to see if it has wind noise but hopefully tomorrow I can test that out.

Now the mounting.
I removed the plastic vent and built / welded up 2 brackets with a 2 1/2" bolt with the threads facing up. The brackets were bolted to the metal frame below then I added / threaded
two lock nuts with 2 small washers so that they sat just below the plastic vent. The vent had 2 small holes drilled through it to allow the bolts to go through.
I then made a flat bar brace to span from one side to the other, it sits on the plastic vent. The 10" bar then sits on that bar which helps disperse the stress evenly across the plastic vent.
Then I bolted it down and ran the power wire through the wiper hole for power.

pretty cool. A guy I work with has a 10 inch rigid on his AEV jeep. I think your rig looks better.
