I think we have 87,89, and 91 here...

If I get a 93 tune, I can run 91 or lower in it, right?

Or, if I get a 87 tune, I can run higher in it?

What would you recommend with 91 being the best we have around here?

You cannot run a 93 tune with 91 octane. Down south, we have 87, 89, and 93 at our pumps. For about 12,000 miles I was running a Superchips tune on my Titan with a 93 tune, but recently dropped down to 87 because of gas prices. I tell you this because on my tuner there is an 87 tune, 91 tune, and 93 tune.

So basically, only run an equal or higher octane than what you're tuned for. If you want to run premium in your truck with an 87 tune, you can. But I would recommend the 93 tune if you're going to be paying extra for the gas anyway.

Hope this clears things up for ya.
