BackinBlack, looks like you Armor All'd that engine bay. Damn that's clean.
Mine didn't look that clean brand new. LOL

Bulletnjm,

I don't what to think, the oil gears are in a type cast housing, what kind of cast it is, I don't know.
We have timing chain tensioners, what is actually touching the chains I'm not sure.

I can't think of anything else that might not be steel inside the engine.

The only other thing I just thought of is, I have seen this when the male oil filter threads are screwed up and it strips the oil filter threads,
but the oil filter is steel don't know about the bottom of the oil filter with the threads.

I only have the Ford Racing filter so I don't know if it's the same bottom as the Motorcraft one.

@Yukon Joe, did you get a chance to check the oil from little red? No rush or anything i am just curious.

@Backinblack i bet it is easier to check than my JLT, not as far in the engine bay as my jlt
Ok. Looking at it this morning, there are no sparkles. Looks no different than the pic I posted earlier in the thread. I even shook it up some to see if I could stir anything up.

If your really worried about it, I would suggest getting an oil sample and send it out for analysis.

I'm getting ready to send Little Red's second oil change out to Blackstone.

So I installed my JTL Oil Separator this morning and it sits level above the coil pack. However it doesn't actually touch the coil pack. I can push it down (very little movement) is that how it should be? I assumed it actually sat on the coil pack.

My Raptor has 23,046 miles on it. The OEM tube looks very clean and dry so again I assume there probably is not that much buildup to worry about? I am going to run a can of GB 44K via the tank this week as well.

Yes, it sort of floats over the coil pack. The hoses are stiff enough to hold it in place.
