Time for an oil and filter change. I have approx. 2 gallons of Mobil 1 5w-30 full synth. sitting on my shelf that was intended for a vehicle that I no longer own.

Does anyone know if there would be a problem using this for one of my oil changes in my 6.2 Raptor? (It recommends 5w-20)

FWIW madcow i usually go to Wally World and buy 2 5qt Mobil 1 5W-20 jugs and a Ford FL-820 filter($3.99). It's so damn cheap.

MadCow, I would stick to the recommended viscosity.

Have to agree. Although it would probably be ok, its not a gamble I would take just to use some left over oil. Things like cam phasers can be real picky about oil.

That is what I do, it's still cheaper then the discount I can get at work.

OK, I'll stick with 5w-20. Went to O'Reilly's this afternoon (no WalMart's nearby) to get the goods and they tell me they don't carry a filter for the 6.2. Dang, I wanted to do this today!
