I only did it because today was the only chance I was going to have for the next 2 weeks and it was already a week overdue.

NEVER change your oil on a windy day!

Biggest mess I've ever had to deal with.

And when will Ford ever make a frikkin dip stick that you can actually see clean oil on?

OMG, no sh.t!!!! I made that mistake on Sunday.... Truck asked for an oil change.... TRR14 is in a few days.... I figured why not....

In all fairness to the OP, I think anyone who does their own oil changes has done this at one time or another, I know I have. It's just one of little things we learn by doing.
