driveshaft change

Well took the Raptor out and the noise is there buy quieter and no jerking of the truck. My original sound i think could be heard miles around now it is a lot quieter and no hopping of the truck. So still not a perm fix.

Well it is still making noise every now and then, I uploaded my different 5 star tunes from mildest to most aggressive to see if the tunes had any affect and the noise were more evident the more aggressive it got. So I may have to buy a new stock driveshaft and get rid of my JDM driveshaft. I think if your truck clunks and you buy an aftermarket piece it still won't fix it, at least that is the opinion in my case. When I took my truck to ford they said my JDM driveshaft is fine so I don't know.

Well I just put my oem shaft back in and the clunk is gone. Now I am going to try to find out why the Axle-Exchange shaft is clunking. I have a hard time accepting the fact that "it just does", after dropping hard earned money on it.

Do yourselves a big favor and call Mark (the owner) tomorrow.

I'm not sure which front yoke JDM ordered for you but you should not be getting any kind of clunk.
Axle Exchange is very proud of their product and I'm sure they will work with you to get the issue resolved.

I'm running the driveshaft for two years with one small application of Dupont's Moly/Teflon combination.
All other grease that have been tried, just does not hold up long, about a week or two.

Thanks @MTF for the info. I understand that lubing the splines will decrease or eliminate the sounds. My concern is to why the unlubricated oem shaft functions perfectly.
It's obvious that the Axle-Exchange driveshaft is a superior product compared to oe. Is it realistic to assume that the Dupont lube will solve the clunk issues?
I am very happy with JDM, Axle-Exchange and their customer service.
I just need to understand the reasons for the dreaded clunk.

The reasons for the clunk involves a few things.
Axle warp, transfer case, rear-end play all add up to just a big sloppy mess.
You will be surprised how much the yoke moves every time you step on the gas and come to a good solid stop.
This is why Ford nickel plates the front yoke, it's a softer material and will sacrifice it's self.
The front yoke just gets caught and binds up and won't settle correctly if the nickel is wore out or not nickeled correctly which there is a TSB.
Which is to put grease in the yoke, some guys have had there driveshaft replaced by Ford if it was a certain year.

Ok, I just emailed JDM and Axel Exchange, let us see what happens. I am wondering if I can just get a better front yoke from someone and put that on.

I'm thinking when ford fixed their driveshafts they didn't give the fix to the aftermarket so they still have the original design.

Ford did have a bad batch in 2011-2012, that's why there's a TSB.

Axle Exchange have sold hundreds of their driveshafts for the Raptor, only a handful have had an issue.

You must just mean raptors because researching this issue and it goes back decades and across other makes.
