Not sure what you guys mean buy cracks. Are you talking about the normal creasing that occurs in leather ?

A number of guys have said they wish they did not have leather . I don't get it .
Leather is easy to clean keeps you cooler , cloth you stick to , stains and ages like shit .

The only thing I have noticed is due to the height of the truck , many people could tend to slid out of the truck and skip using the floor board. You have to get in the habit of stepping out of the truck using the floor board. If you keep sliding out of it you will have that classis wear spot on the outside of the front seats.

Good conditioner will make all the difference in the world. Here is a solid product . ALWAYS USE A PRODUCT ON A TEST SPOT FIRST.
ZYMOL TREAT 8.5 oz

Target carries some of these products now : They have Zymol Creme. Works good , does not cause seats to be slippery .

My 2011 is NOT a daily driver and just turned 3k on the clock. The seat bottom is wrinkling in an unusual manner compared to my previous Ford vehicles. Way too much wear showing for the amount of use. Seats have been conditioned several times and my fat ass (6'4/250) uses the running boards to get in and out. This isn't normal wear & tear based on my experience. Was there a driver weight limit I missed???

I have already alerted the dealership that this will be happening.

I've seen the leather crinkle in my Marauder. I have plans to buy at least one extra drivers side seat cover for application later when it starts to look too worn.

My dog tends to leave ****** Tracks on the seats when he has his Red Rocket out... I just rub on it and it comes out! Hmmmm!

Any other good recommendations for leather care?

Ive got 22,000 miles on my truck and have had the drivers seat bottom replaced under warranty. Where it crinkled, it also cracked. The new replacement leather is a much nicer leather than what it came with.

ummmmm yeah thats possibly a little to much information but hell wateva conditions your leather good.

Sounds like a similar issue as the Gen 1 Harley trucks. The drivers seat bottom usually wears pretty crappy, wrinkles up, cracks, etc. if not taken care of properly. When taken care of properly though, its a night and day difference. I've always used Zaino Z9 leather cleaner and Z10 leather conditioner. Out of many leather products, it's the best one I've used, and search on detailing forums, it's a highly rated product. Even if you don't use Zaino polish, it's worth ordering just their leather products.

Low gloss sheen, isn't slippery, isn't slimey, isn't shiny, doesn't smell funky, dries completely to the touch, and really helps the leather stay new looking. I'll try to dig up some pics of a 00 HD with 50k miles on the drivers seat and show you all the cracks and wear marks, then a pic of my 00 HD drivers seat with 50k miles on the clock that looks almost brand new.

Even on my second 00 HD that I bought with 898 miles on it in '09 and sold just this past October with 25k miles on it, the seats still looked brand spanking new.

Between not sliding off the edge of the seat, and using Zaino leather conditioner regularly, the leather stays in immaculate condition.

Just like your paint, you can gripe that Ford didn't use a quality paintjob if it swirls and chips and looks like crap but a lot of that is on your own fault for not washing, waxing, and taking care of your paint. No different than leather, you still need to take care of it.
