For those fellas that are gonna use Royal Purple, this is the response I received directly from Royal Purple about what fluids to use in the transmission and transfer case.

For the automatic transmission on your 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor 6.2L we recommend Royal Purple Max ATF (part #01320, quart bottle) once warranty compliance is no longer a concern. According to the owner’s manual the dry fill capacity of your automatic transmission is 13.1 quarts.

Max ATF: Max ATF | Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid | Royal Purple

The reason why we say we do not recommend the Max ATF for automatic transmission that require Mercon LV is due to warranty issues. The Max ATF is a great functional upgrade and will mix and be compatible with the Mercon LV, but due to the viscosity difference Ford would not consider it a warranty compliant replacement. If warranty compliance is a serious concern we would recommend using the Mercon LV or one that is approved by Ford under manufacturer warranty.

According to the owner’s manual the transfer case on your 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor recommends Ford Motorcraft Transfer Case Fluid XL-12. For you transfer case we recommend Royal Purple Synchromax (part #01512, quart bottle) once warranty compliance is no longer a concern. The Synchromax may not be viewed as a warranty compliant replacement due to it being a performance upgrade fluid. If warranty compliance is still a serious concern we recommend using the OEM fluid.

Synchromax: Synchromax Manual Transmission Fluid for Added Performance | Royal Purple

The capacity of your transfer case is 2.9-3.1 quarts.

Just a quick word of advice, when changing out the rear diff oil, make sure you take off the spare tire, will give more room to work. A little bit more work, but you'll thank yourself for this.

Just a bump for those that were out at TRR while the great flood was happening...
