I think you are asking if you can load these maps on your factory NAV? No, it's a complaint the Factory NAV guys have had, but you can use a tablet, phone with either the MotionX(Apple) / Backcountry(Android) app or get a Lowarance NAV unit for the off-road maps and you can load these maps and use them.

Yeah that's what I was asking. Thanks man! And I meant dumb, not dump lol.

To add what vanilla_gorilla said, when i make the map files I will put them out there as the major formats. If someone needs a specific format I have the app that can covert it to any known major GPS device. (Not factory units though)

But you could make a million dollars if you can figure out how to load them on the facotry NAV. :everything:

If I had a factory nav to play with i would give it a shot. Most factory units have some lock on it but with enough time that can be "modified". With out seeing one first hand I know most factory navs you can make POI (point of interest) files. this means you can load a trail by points. How that works is why I would need a nav.

So in short yes it can be done with some time.

M3dragon I am 100% with you. I am happy to build a repo and we can figure out how to organize and distro it. I'm a web developer and would love to contribute whatever I can for the betterment of the community.

I do feel that making membership a requirement isn't a bad idea, if for no other reason than to support our community.

Off roading is unsafe. If you're worried about flying your truck off a newly formed cliff or running out of trail, seek the neatest highway. You probably should look into Prius ownership. :)

I'd put a Google camera on my truck and prerun every trail I could find if I could.

What you might want to add:
- date-time of driving the trail
- date-time of finishing the trail
- rating
- Emergency contact info ?

help increase savety for those not having a Satality-phone or a GPS locator
things like that

offcourse not just US ( altough majority is there )

I can add them but things like rating are subjective as well as time. Time I am not sure if that adds value as that is preference of pace AKA thrash at speed or go at a pace your find enjoyable.

Open to suggestions if those things would be helpful and what a "consensus" would be to measure them.
