For dynamic recoveries (snatch) use Bubba Rope or Southeast Overland brand kinetic recovery ropes and soft shackles. For static (just pulling without a running start) I like to use an oversized (3") strap from whomever as the risk is lower. I currently have a rugged ridge but ARB, USA cargo control would be good options.

I'm putting my recovery / stuff kit together. Here is what i have so far, does anyone see any huge mistakes?

For raptors I believe we use the ARB710. I've seen a lot of trash talk about the smittybilt stuff, mainly b/c it's made in china. Also, you want bow shackles, not D-ring, I know some ppl use the terms interchangeably, not sure if that's the case here. I see a hitch pin but not recovery hitch listed, are you going to pull off the pin? Recoveries aren't always a straight pull.

I have the ARB710, the gatorjaws, and a bubba they've all worked well in several minor (and one more involved) recoveries.

Can you post a link to a shackle? I'm pretty sure what I have are actually shackles.

Missed it! The pic I found on google of the curt 45824 has an orange bow shackle attached.

Thanks, the one in the Curt is the same as the other shackles. Thanks for the heads up on SB and China, didn't know that one.

For the snatch block, I would go with either Master Pull or Warn epic . I have 4 snatch blocks, and those two stand out by far.

I had one come loose also.. Maybe we need to find some replacement bolts with lockwire holes also
