2014 Ford Raptor “Blancita”

I’ve almost had the truck for a year so it is time for a build thread.

I sold my 2016 4-Runner in May 2017 and pulled the trigger on a 2014 Ford Raptor with 36k miles. After two weeks, I love this truck. The power is insane and I have gotten used to driving such a big truck in LA traffic.

There is tons of room for all my camping gear and tools for my camping and off road trips.

4-Runner I built before picking up my Raptor

SDHQ made this cool mount for my firewall and popped a Switch Pros control unit into the factory upfitter switches spot. I can’t wire lights to save my life so this made it doable for me to quickly add lights to the truck.

I picked up these King 3.0” coilovers with compression adjusters and finned resis for a smoking deal a few weeks ago.

Got them on the truck Monday and they are amazing. I have never opted for the compression adjusters before and always thought they were unnecessary bling. I was so wrong. They are awesome.

I bought six SVT beadlocks for a great deal from another FRF member and sold my SVT wheels on CL a few days later. I ended up with (4) wheels with beauty rings and two with real beadlock rings. The rings are all matching red so whatever.

I picked up a set of Baja Designs S2 Pros to use as back up lights and used the factory bumper bolts to mount them. They have been awesome for such a small light.

I picked up a used SVC bed brace from another FRF member and got it installed. Much to my suprise, I found that my truck’s last owner had previously installed one too judging from the wear marks under the tail light.

I ordered this Outlaw Offroad bed rack during their Black Friday sale last year, waited a few months for it to be built and quickly installed it.

I made a stop by RPG Offroad in OC this week to talk rear suspension to match my upgraded front suspension and realized that I wanted to go all in with a bypass rack vice just a tire carrier.

Now this thing is for sale and I’m looking for a new or used bypass rack.

After visiting RPG, I have been debating to upgrade to a prerunner bumper or just keep the factory look going.

There were so many to choose from. So far, I am leaning towards their Trophy bumper with an added valance.

If I do that, I will be ditching my 20” Baja Designs light bar and just relying on the bright XL 80’s on the a-pillars.

This is what I am leaning towards but without the added push bar.

BLM has some pretty cool bumpers and this route would be like $500 cheaper. I need to go visit BLM in person to see the details.

Any feedback on strength or construction of either one is appreciated.
