2013 Tux Black SCAB build in VA

I wanted to make a build thread to track the progress of my truck. I've had a bit of time to plan while waiting to take delivery.

-I placed the order for the truck on 10/2/12 at Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly VA for $2500 off sticker, i know i could've gotten a better deal but i figured as they're a top 5 volume dealership they'd get it sooner

-DORA on 10/3/12

-Bumped priority 01 on 11/28/12, some miscommunication or lack of communication between me and the dealership and they tried to make it right by bumping the priority, def worth the wait in hindsight

-VIN 11/29/12

-build date 12/21/12

-delivered 1/8/13.

here it is the day after i picked it up and the first day driven to work, note to self it's too big and the audi will be the daily driver


Before the truck got here i went ahead and ordered a few things and got a few little things done:

-RPG stage 3 Kit




-RPG tie rods


-3M 1080 Carbon fiber wrap on reflectors, F-O-R-D, and pillars








-Magnaflow 15588




-Bedrug






-DeeZee Tailgate Assist


-Masterlock tailgate lock


-Outlaw Claw and 4" HID X lights




-Tinted Third brake light


-Rigid E-series 20" light bar for lower grill and Rigid Dually Amber flood and white spot fog kit












-LED plate, map, puddle(from AMB lighting), and dome lights, also have LED's in reverse and third brake light








-AMB LED Puddle lights


-Mag-Hytec diff cover

-20% Pinnacle tint


-UPDATE Outlaw Shock guards and abs/vacuum guards, not too happy with these, supposedly cad plated, def not only a month on the car and coated in rust, contacted outlaw about this but have not heard back yet, as of now they are removed from the car.

-Antenna X euro style antenna, we'll see how it holds up as it is plastic if it starts bending due the wind resistance i'll get a craven stubby but i had the same one on my rubicon and it worked great with no loss of reception

-ICON/Power Steering Solutions Reservoir, install was quick and easy only needed about a 1/3 of a quart of fluid which it came with, fit and finish is top notch.






-Rigid Flush Mount Dually for rear bumper and SPC cam bolts

-Alpha 1 spindle gussets


-Moroso Air Oil Separator 85492






-Ford Racing Blue Cam Covers

-TMX Skid Plate - very happy with the skid plate, very nice quality fit and finish is perfect, and looks awesome much more aggressive look to the front end






-RPG tuned Fox 3.0's




-Set of 5 Method NV's




MID perch along with UCA's, tie rods, front and rear rpg tuned fox 3.0's, and stage 3 will go on all at the same time, only hold up is the wheels as with the 1.5" UCA's you need aftermarket wheels and they're on backorder until early march.

Alpha 1 Stainless brake lines

decide to go with a 5 star tune and intake, it's a offroad truck not a street queen and decided on fox 3.0's as adding 100+lbs to the front of the truck and the 10k+ for the whipple and install just didn't seem worth it, i'll be spending that money elsewhere. if i get bored i may still do it but the 6.2 has a cast crank and isn't ideal for a blower.

3M 1080 Satin Black wrap. must see it in person, pics don't do justice. everything was wrapped including flairs and bumpers, color is a truer black than the 1080 matte black, looks incredible, pictures show a bit lighter than in reality
















i know there was some banter about the cuts around the rigid lights, here are some close ups where you can see the rubber gasket from the rigid poking out making it look like the vinyl had a shaky but it is not

not quite yet, no huge purchases yet, i think maybe i'd inch closer to that status when the rigid's go on but until the whipple and new shocks i wouldn't say baller.
problem is i really want the vinyl wrap it next but that just puts the whipple off a couple weeks. choices choices
