I couldn't be more thrilled with the purchase of my new used SVT 6.2 13 super cab Raptor. In 10 more days it'll be a month since I bought it. Actually the power is slightly scary on icy roads but other than that I couldn't be happier with my 'dream truck'. My Chevy loving fairly new BF referred to it as a 'pile of junk' in his driveway and that 'glowing thing'. He has even songs, little ditties he knows by heart to put down Fords. He even owns a Ford model T. Go figure. I think he's softening up a bit over my buying this truck of my dreams. Hell, I've had 5 Ford trucks before this one and nothing major happened. The last Chevy truck I had needed a rebuilt trans. I never drove it hard and some stupid sensor went out of it.. damn good thing I believe heavily in extended warranties. Anyway, do any of you have any ideas about comebacks for insults to my pride and joy F-150 Ford Raptor?? He hasn't so much as looked inside the window. He did mention possibly going out to Cali next winter in it with me but that was after a few beers and he doesn't even like S CA that much either. He DOES love me and aside from his apparent dislike for Fords, there doesn't seem to be any major issues. Of course Being a Chevy lover could be one? Lol. Maybe you all know of maybe a cute little t shirt I could buy? Maybe just anything that I might say or do to have him at least come around to seeing things in a more mature or educated light? Any ideas out there? I really LOVE this truck. I think buying it was a great decision since my last truck was just going downhill. They are all expensive to repair but my last one was a boring 14 XLT 4x4 with 103k...heater actuator went out and lousy dealership refused to replace it under my so called bumper to bumper. I was angry about that! I had had 2 FX4's, a 10 and a 13 and missed the luxury truck and this one is the best of all...so I'm pleased as hell even with a med sized payment forever. Even the insurance is affordable. I kind of think 'you get what you pay for' and that I found a great one owner (doctors) truck. It was taken care of and totally babied.

First of all congratulations on your new to you truck. Best decision you have made by purchasing it.
Second of all dump your ignorant boyfriend of yours. He is fairly new as you said so it should be fairly easy. Just start taking him to local Raptor events and he will go away by himself.
Or take him off roading and leave him stuck in the mud in the woods in his Chevy.

There are lots of you tube videos making fun of the Ford VS chevy rivalry. Check those out and text him a link the next time he starts talking his bull. I am also a huge GM/Chevy guy. This is the first Ford I have ever owned and had lots of jokes played by friends and family. The reality is that Chevy and GM just don't make a model of Silverado or Sierra that can compete with the Raptor. It is a one of a kind truck. Google is your friend for fun t shirts. Take him to events and make him get behind the wheel. That will make a believer out of him. Or you can always dump him. Lol

Why even go there with comebacks against Ford vs. Chevy. Both grow up as a relationship is beyond what each other drive. Just say something to the effect of you don't say anything negative about my vehicle and I won't say anything negative about yours, end of discussion. If he can't deal with that then his concept of a relationship is shallow and you would be best to move on. There are other mature folks out there. If you can't deal with it and need to comeback with negatives against his vehicle then perhaps the problem lies within yourself.

Congrats on the Raptor BTW

- Government Motors
- The house Obama built
- Bankruptcy Inc.
- The only Company in the world to screw over its employees, retirees, stockholders and bondholders all at the same time.
- When exactly and how did they pay back all our taxpayer $$ (They didn't)

That ought to give you a good start.
