Hey guys,

First, a little about myself:

The name's Jordan, and I'm an Electronic/PLC Technician from Louisiana. I pretty much travel the world to play on a computer in random places. I have a few mild builds under built, including a resto-mod on an '86 C-10. However, this is my first serious serious build, My main expertise is in electronics and lighting, but I grew up around a family owned mechanic shop. Also, I worked at a body shop through high school and college. I'm somewhat of a jack of all trades, master of none.

Now, on to the truck:

'13 FX4 S-crew (3.73) Fx4 EcoBoost
Full-Race CAC, AFE CAI, BBK tb, 170* T-stat, SW d/p, 4" AFE exhaust w/ MBRP resonator, SCT Livewire, MPT tunes
Tint, AVS vent shades, shorty antenna, Rancho 4", Icon UCA's, Fox 2.5 shocks, 35" general grabbers, 20" Method 301's (custom pc), pole-less tailgate mod
Retrofitted OEM HID's, 20" E2 combo, D2 white (x2), Dually reverse, A-series bed lighting, full LED conversion
Rockford T1 door speakers, poly-filled sub, Auto Meter elite boost gauge

Not a Raptor?! Crazy right?... Well here's why:

The price wasn't so much of an issue, as the available engines. The 5.4 is absolute crap, and I didn't want the 6.2. I like making big power with smaller motors. I started out with SBC's, and now I'm starting to break into JDM motors. So, that preference left me with either the 5.0 or the 3.5TT. This, was a tough decision, but after heavy research I opted for the 3.5. I love turbos... :D I plan on buying a second gen raptor once they hit the ground, but for now I'll settle for converting this truck.

I'm in the process of converting the truck to mid-travel, and I've come here to soak up some knowledge from the suspension experts here. I have a fair amount of info to offer on other subjects, so please don't hesitate to ask.

Here's my build thread on the Eco forum:

1/2 Ton Tuner build

There is an F150 forum available...no need to justify why you didn't buy a Raptor. Your decision is your decision. I'm sure you'll find a world of knowledge reference suspensions on this forum though.

Just trying to add a little humor in there. I came here, because the f150 forums (big ones) are massive and filled with immaturity. Coming here allows me to skip the crap and get down with the guys who know the answers to the questions I ask.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the regulars here, and build my knowledge through this build. Which, will help me prepare for my second gen raptor.

Btw, I'm re-working my OEM HID's at the moment.

Adding these, custom paint, and d2's in the fog buckets.

I'm already running EvoX-R's w/ Osram CBI's and 55w mori ballasts.

I have a regular f150 too, unfortunately rocking the 5.4 but its an 09 so still new body style. There is an infinite amount of stuff to learn from the raptor guys about suspension, and most of the stuff that they do will work for us.

Not trying to be hateful here, just frank and honest. You won't likely find any more maturity here than you would on any F150 Forum, instead you'll find people with enough money to throw around that they're use to getting their way, and in the end a bunch of sometimes good humored shit talking, sometimes down right whiny ********. It probably isnt the best approach to join a forum for raptors, not having a raptor, and starting off with your motors are absolute crap. Just my opinion here, and welcome.

First of all, it's an engine, not a motor. Secondly, why are you bringing up something that's almost a year old.

I'm here for suspension knowledge, and the classifieds. This forum has helped my build tremendously.... Also, I'll be getting a gen 2 raptor anyway.
