No major updates, but an update, nonetheless. Well, maybe one "bigger" update, but I've managed to pick up a few things for my truck over the past few weeks.
As I've said in the past, I'm not a 'Ford' guy...I'm a Raptor guy. So I can't take staring at the blue oval every time I look at my steering wheel much longer:
One day in with the rack and already putting it to "use":
There were WAY more gifts packed into the bed on the drive up (picture was taken after we got home). Long story short, I live 5 minutes from my parents, but my sister lives about an hour and 20 minutes north of us. Every year, we do our own Christmas celebration the weekend after up at my sister's. So the rack was FULL of toys/gifts for my 2 yr old and my 21 month old niece, mostly courtesy of grandma/grandpa.
My poor truck was FILTHY after about 250 miles of highway driving over the past 2 days:
I still need to grab 3 more of these guys so I can actually attach the rack to the bed, as right now, it's just sitting in there with nothing holding it down:
If anyone has any idea where I can buy these from, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, I'll have to see if I can get some custom made.
Also picked up a tailgate assist:
I also acquired Recon Projector Headlights, which won't work with my truck. They aren't quite my style, anyway, but if anyone is looking for a good deal (versus paying retail), let me know:
I think next up on my list of cheaper mods are an interior LED kit and a shortie antenna. I'd love a pedal commander, so someone buy the Recon lights, yeah?!
Maybe once I pick up the pedal commander, I'll go ahead and create a proper "build" thread. It'll no doubt be a slow build, but slow and steady wins the race, right?. After all, not all of us on FRF are ballers!
