Welcome to FRF, that’s a great looking truck. What are you doing for the front / bumper LED light bar? That looks like a keen setup.

Iceman7273,
Welcome to FRF!
I too came back to Ford after 10 years of Cummins powered Dodges. My first was a 1998.5 24valve 2500 HD Club cab Long bed 4x4 5 speed NV4500. I put in 50 horse injectors, a Juice box, BD exhaust brake, and 4 inch exhaust, 2 inch National coils, goose neck hitch, Buckstop bumpers, and more.... The 2500 HD was the 3500 with singles in the rear. It had 4:10 gears in the pumpkins and still got 21-22 mpg. Pulled my 9 ton Econoline tri axle tilt trailer with my 1955 C3PW Dodge PowerWagon like it wasn't there.
In 2004 I bought a 2004.5 3500 HO SRW crew cab long bed 4x4 NV 5600 6 speed. Many of the same mods with the addition of a Fass fuel system. It was geared with 3.73's in the pumpkins, and took a bit longer to get up to speed, but pulled the trailer just as well.
While the first Gen 6.2l engine has good power, it lacks the stump pulling torque of the Cummins....then again I'd never try to hoon my Cummins off road. That engine was like a boat anchor in the sand...I had to be very careful not to bog down the front end. It made me a better driver!
You're going to have a blast doing things you really couldn't with your CTD's...
Have fun!

Eddie

I am a long time cummins and diesel truck freak. I've owned a dozen cummins-powered trucks from '94 to 2012. Right now I'm in a 2015 powerstroke f350 but put money down on an allocation for 2018 raptor 802A with tech package. I guess I'm reinventing myself! Congrats to you.

I made some brackets that mount to the stock bumper. Holds a Curved 30" Baja Designs ONX6.

My Megacab was built solid for Off road. It was heavy but she 3.0 kings up front. 2.5 bypass rear, trussed, Long Arm'd, LT Leafs and Traction Bars. Ate Whoops pretty damn good for 8000lb truck. Being Lighter now with the Raptor and more travel sure is fun though

Welcome and congrats on the Raptor!

I'd like to see some pics of your powder coated beauty rings. And tell us about your OBA (On Board Air) please
