I drive a 2013 Roush Raptor - while driving in the desert this weekend, a "knowledgable" guy who has a Roush charged F150 (non Raptor) suggested I should have my supercharger checked as it was not making a "vacuum/sucking" noise.

I am no mechanic, but the supercharger is belt driven, so if he is correct, what would create a vacuum noise and is he accurate in that I should have it checked?

Well, I guess wait till some Roush guys chime in.
You could check YouTube for Roush Raptors and try to compare.

Thanks - I've done 10,000km with no issue since I bought the truck, so can't imagine there is too much wrong with charger...

Every truck is different, plus you have to compare two similar trucks with the same exact mods to make an assumption.

Sure - I'm certainly not taking what the guy said as necessarily accurate, just was wondering if there may be some truth to what he's saying even though I doubt it.
