So I installed my reverse lights today, very clean and took my time... when I went to test them, I had to take a video cause i cant see the back of my truck while im in reverse...... and this is what i saw.......
After I saw this, i looed at the other side, which had not been messed with yet. and it flashed like that too. Then I hooked up the other side, and they all still flashed like that. (Each light is grounded to the frame separately and connected to different lights...) after thinking and coming up with nothing. I cut to power wires of my add on lights, one by one. after the rear left one i cut, both sides still flashed. and after the second one i cut, the reverse lights went back to normal....??? What in the world does it mean? do i need a bigger fuse? I dont think it would change anything... HELP ME!

Did you hook them up to the the existing lights? If so, you have over taxed the system since its drawing to much... You need to add a relay and
DO NOT JUST INSTALL A BIGGER FUSE...

Not that easy... lol... See the lights you added into the stock system draw more than it can support with the stock lights included. Thats why you see the added lights clip or flash off, the relay is getting overloaded... You might be able to remove the stock bulbs and just run the lights you added... But to make this work with the stock light too more work will be needed... How much are the lights you added drawing...

Trailer Wiring Diagrams | etrailer.com
Ya he can.. Its something I dont like to do but it will work...
Here is a wiring diag of the rear trailer setup...
Trailer Wiring Diagrams | etrailer.com
Here is the standard wiring diag..
Yellow = Left turn
Green = Right turn
Brown = Tail/Marker
Blue = Trailer Brakes
Black = +12 volt source (ie breakaway battery charge)
Orange = Backup/Auxillary
White = Ground
Take a test light and make sure you get the backup wire... Tap into that and try it...

Yikes! sounds like I have some work ahead of me, but thank your guys for helping! I will look at that diagram and see if I can make something work. Also, is there a wire diagram for the normal relay and is there any way to just buy another relay? and The lights I bought are the cheap Walmart ones the pull 55 watts each... haha But I will try to go through the trailer plug in! thanks so much!
